This project was for a private client who was looking for a complete cladding solution to go over his existing 6 bedroomed property as the existing render had discoloured over the past few years leaving the property looking tired and outdated.

The client was open to suggestions with regards to the colour and texture of the brick slips to be used, so after several site visits and surrounding area surveys we proposed the London Weathered Yellow, as this product was a very good match for the local area, and also would provide the property with a much needed uplift in colour and character. After careful consideration of the bond pattern we decided that using the old English common bond as opposed to the traditional stretcher bond would be a suitable fit for the area and also add that extra touch to the property.

We liaised with the local planning authority and provided full sample panels of the suggested brick slip type for their approval, due to the site survey and our experience the suggested brick slip type speedily passed through planning with no issues.

On this particular project we had a full range of specials manufactured to speed up the installation progress on site, these included standard brick slips, brick slip corners, standard headers, header reveals, and gable slips, the client claims the pre manufacturing of the specials has saved over 4 days worth of onsite labour far outweighing the additional cost of the specials.

After careful time management and scheduling of materials including the brick slip specials, the full exterior of the house was transformed from tired render to fully cladded and pointed brick slip exterior in only 72 hours, far quicker than the three weeks quoted by brick contractors for a traditional brick built façade.
